The length of time to complete a program depends on the student, their financial plans, and the time devoted to their studies. However, it is required at least one year of study with FCU. At the Bachelor level, it is a 3-4 years program. At the Masters, Doctorate and Post-Doctorate levels, each program takes 1-2 years.

Florida Christian University is a certified University authorized to operate by the State of Florida and meets or exceeds the minimum standards of the legal statutes of the State of Florida F. Though accreditation is voluntary, we have always upheld a great standard of quality in our curriculum and infrastructure in preparation for accreditation standards. Accreditation poses several requirements in terms of schedule and program structure, besides preventing the university to offer programs in three languages. FCU opted to be a more flexible and accessible institution, making available courses specifically related to our target audience, in Portuguese, Spanish and English.

FCU is aware that each country has its own rules when it comes to the validation of a diploma, which should be the sole responsibility of the student. As an example, American Universities diplomas are not directly recognized by MEC (Ministério de Educação e Cultura –Department of Education of Brazil), but some FCU students from Brazil have validated their degree through Universities in the region where they reside.
The validation process of a degree in a foreign country is not a responsibility of Florida Christian University.

Yes, 10% if you are a Minister (please send your Certificate of Consecration as a Pastor), and 15% if enrolled with a spouse (given only for one person). Or 15% on the second program to those who enroll in two same level programs at the same time (applicable to one program only).

Since FCU is an International University, a student’s immigration status does not prevent him/ her to study with us. We have students from all over the world studying online and in our branches. FCU does not offer student visas, as that would require it to be a fully accredited, what has already been explained is not the case.

We do not offer scholarship. However, we have a commitment to be affordable, so the student can choose a flexible monthly payment system and not a large sum of money in the beginning of each semester, as most universities do.

We do not offer student housing. There are several options of housing widely available to lease daily, monthly, and annually. For further information, we recommend to contact a local Real Estate Agent. On the other hand, as courses are delivered in various formats, the student can engage in a long distance programs if they cannot attend one of our on-site branches.

According to Law, graduation has to be in Orlando. Therefore the defense of the dissertation will happen in the United States, a week before Graduation. We offer Seminars during the week of Graduation. We encourage our students to participate in the Seminars to benefit from expert knowledge and networking in their professional area of study, defend their thesis, and then graduate in the same week. All of that can be accomplished within 1 to 2 weeks in Orlando, tied to an enjoyable time.

The thesis process begins by taking the Scientific Investigation – Theory class. Then the student would send his/ her first project proposal, to be approved by the Professor. After that, the student takes another class called Scientific Investigation – Project to help him/her set and improve the project. At some point, FCU designates an advisor/ mentor who will assist throughout this process. Before the thesis defense, the student has the opportunity to schedule a meeting to be held either online or in person, to validate his/ her project with the University. This meeting is meant to give him/her specific directions/ suggestions in preparation for the final thesis defense.

FCU offers biannual InterSeminars that are held at top facilities in Orlando, Florida. They deal with Business and Counseling/ Coaching, and by participating, FCU students can get credits that are applicable towards their degree, which can contribute to speed up program completion. They offer an opportunity to the students to be updated and amplify their educational, professional, and personal development with an international perspective.  The cost of these seminars is apart from the tuition.

FCU is always developing knowledge contents that are relevant and updated with the market demands. And even though each program has a defined schedule, the students are offered some choices of courses and notified in advance for confirming participation.

Depending on the program and the language chosen, classes may be delivered in various formats, allowing flexibility of access: online, live streaming, and in classroom settings. As for courses delivered in an in-classroom format, FCU has currently branches in Florida (Orlando – Pembroke Pines), and in some states of Brazil.
